Adsense on Top Plugin for WordPress Review

Adsense on Top is an extension plugin for the Adsense Optimizer plugin already available for WordPress. Where Adsense Optimizer allowed you to use your Google Adsense account to decide the size, style and type of ads placed onto your blog, Adsense on Top allows you to decide exactly which margin the ads will be displayed in, the background color of the ads, and how far away you want the ads from the body and content of your blog. For example, if the main background color of your blog is tan, you could choose a column of word-only ads with a red background located in the outer edge right margin.

To use Adsense on Top, you must first have a Google Adsense account and have Adsense Optimizer installed. After getting your Optimizer settings the way you want them, you can then go into Adsense on Top settings and play around until you have the perfect ad display for your WordPress blog.

WordPress IP to Location Geolocation Plugin Review

The Geo-location plugin for WordPress could prove to be a beneficial tool for online merchants and bloggers by identifying the location of the visitors and in turn allowing them to tailor their content to one or more locations across the country or around the globe.

The plugin uses a computer’s IP address in order to identify the location (down to the city or town) of the website visitor. It can also be used reciprocally on blogging sites to show the location of the author when the post was published.

In order to provide this service to their users, WordPress modified Maxmind’s JavaScript web service called Geolocation to work with the specific attributes of their site. I'm sure you have already heard that the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is rolling out new guidelines for people who promote affiliate programs on websites and blogs.

Let me tell you a little about how this plugin works. When you setup a countdown, there are two main options to choose from:

Option #1 gives you the ability to input a specific date and time in the future plus a URL where you want the page or post to redirect to when the plugin expires. This option is great for creating time sensitive promotions, product launches, etc.

Option #2 allows you to create time limited countdowns. You simply enter the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds you want an individual to be able to view your offer before the plugin redirects to another webpage or website you have selected in the plugin options panel. The countdown doesn't start until a person views the page or post. This is the option I am using on the product sales letter link above.
